There are lights in all our upper glass cabinets! It's so terribly exciting to watch this kitchen come together. Since these lights are in cabinets 9-10 feet in the air, we wanted to be able to turn them on and off with a switch. Luckily, there were plenty of switches in this kitchen! We ran the electrical wiring for one of them around the top of the room, putting outlets above the location where each bank of cabinets would go. **Between the cabinets, the wiring was tucked up above the planked ceiling. ** Once the cabinets were installed we used a hole saw to make a hole that the plug for LED lighting could be fished through. To be honest, having children with small hands came in VERY useful at this stage!! Then all that was left to do was remove the backing for the LED strips and install. Soon will come the finishing touches: filling in the holes so they don't show and routing the cords so they blend in the cabinets. Isn't this a fun little addition??
