A FB Find: An Amazing Dresser for the Girls

I think it’s that problem-solving part of me that draws me to sift through FB Maketplace and Craigslist to find furniture. What could be better than finding a quality piece, putting in a little elbow grease, and creating the picture-perfect piece for your home?

The search for furniture to fill the house continues! The girls needed a dresser to keep the non-hang-up clothes, so of course, I turned to Facebook Marketplace. I'm so glad it exists! I mean, once in a while you get a dud, but overall, how wonderful is an online garage sale?

FB Marketplace Find: the Search

So I found this dresser. The dimensions were great and it was less than 45 minutes away. I was hopeful that it was older and therefore good quality, but you never know online. When we got there to pick it up, amazing!! Not only was it solid wood, it was in absolutely lovely condition. I don't even need to paint it like I planned!!

Instead, it just needed a little wood cleaner/wax all over the exposed wood and to have the dated dresser pulls replaced with some cute little black bin pulls. I really kind of love it!!

So now the dresser sits between the girls' rooms and generally collects junk. But it looked really nice when we first placed it upstairs and hung our first wedding anniversary gift- a beautiful painting of Paris that we bought on our anniversary trip- above it. Could you ask more for a $50 FB Marketplace find?? I can’t think of anything!
